Cœur de Forêt is a decorative green fused glass plate inspired by the soothing colors of the forest and the light filtering through the foliage. Entirely handcrafted in my studio in Saint-Jérôme, this one-of-a-kind piece combines transparency, depth, and nature in a creation designed to stand the test of time.

The first piece in the Cœur collection, inspired by Quebec’s forest landscapes, this creation was born out of my fascination with the play of light filtering through the trees, the vibrant mosses, and the countless shades of green that unfold throughout the seasons. Thousands of glass fragments were carefully selected and then fused at high temperatures to create a sense of movement that evokes the forest floor, the foliage, and the natural richness of the forests.

More than ten shades of green come together in this work, ranging from deep forest greens to luminous moss greens. Depending on the lighting and viewing angle, the glass reveals varying degrees of transparency and color intensity, offering a visual experience that changes throughout the day.

At the heart of my creative process lies the Percé-Verre motif. Much more than just a symbol, it represents the perseverance, passion for creation, and love of life that inspire each of my works.

Handmade in Quebec

Each decorative fused glass plate is crafted using a meticulous artisanal process. Glass fragments are selected one by one for their colors, transparency, and ability to capture light. After assembly, the piece is fired in a specialized kiln where the glass slowly fuses to form a durable and unique work of art.
