Heart of the Ocean is a decorative fused glass plate inspired by the shifting reflections of water and the infinite shades of the ocean. Made entirely by hand in my studio in Saint-Jérôme, this one-of-a-kind piece combines light, transparency, and depth in a creation designed to stand the test of time.

The first piece in the Heart collection, this creation was inspired by my fascination with the movement of water, the colors of the sky, and the beauty of seascapes. Thousands of glass fragments were carefully selected and then fused at high temperatures to create a sense of movement reminiscent of waves, currents, and the shimmering reflections on the ocean’s surface.

More than ten shades of blue come together in this work, ranging from deep blues to vibrant turquoises. Depending on the lighting and viewing angle, the glass reveals varying degrees of transparency and color intensity, offering a visual experience that changes throughout the day.

At the heart of my creative process lies the Percé-Verre motif. Much more than just a symbol, it represents the perseverance, passion for creation, and love of life that inspire each of my works.

Handmade in Quebec

Each decorative fused glass plate is crafted using a meticulous artisanal process. Glass fragments are selected one by one for their colors, transparency, and ability to capture light. After assembly, the piece is fired in a specialized kiln where the glass slowly fuses to form a durable and unique work of art.
