A blinding smile: the tooth whitening fanatic

If you come across Prosper, be prepared to need sunglasses. His smile is so dazzling that you might find it hard to look at him without being dazzled. In fact, he’s so obsessed with the whiteness of his teeth that he’s even decided to adorn them with a piece of jewelry, so that everyone is forced to cast an admiring glance at his smile. He spends his days polishing, scrubbing and whitening, as if his teeth were the very essence of his worth.

An interesting friendship with Tchappy, the dentist dog

Prosper is no ordinary customer for Tchappy, the dog dentist. Their friendship is not born of deep affinity, but rather of the money he has invested in Tchappy’s services. Prosper spends lavishly, preferably to keep his teeth brighter, shinier and more perfect. He has no other concerns than appearance, and this costs him dearly. But Tchappy loves it.

What a perfect smile hides

A difficult past behind the sparkle

What Prosper hides behind his ultra-white teeth is a heavy secret: he comes from a poor family. He’s never had much, and this lack of wealth has always dogged him. So he compensates by doing everything he can to appear rich and prestigious. His efforts to improve his image, to shine brightly, are just desperate attempts to hide his shame.

The other side of the mirror: a painful truth

Ultimately, despite his perfect appearance and dazzling teeth, Prosper is a deeply complex dog. Although some people pretend to admire him for his efforts, the truth is that he’s not really appreciated. In fact, behind his back, the other dogs nickname him “Râteau” because of his superficial attitude, his arrogance and, of course, his teeth! Prosper doesn’t know it, of course, but it’s because he prefers to concentrate on his image that he forgets about the sincerity of relationships. Perhaps one day he’ll realize that true happiness lies not in appearance, but in who you really are.
