Biscotte, the glass French bulldog, has a name that makes you smile.
A light, almost fragile name.
And yet there’s nothing lukewarm about Biscotte.

In life, Biscotte doesn’t like gray areas.
He observes for a long time, in silence.
Then, when it’s clear to him, he moves on.

When he says yes, it’s a real yes.
When he says no, it’s not out of stubbornness,
but out of respect – for himself first.

Biscotte understood quite early on that trying to please everyone ends up losing you. So he chose something different: to be honest in his impulses, even when it’s uncomfortable. To be true to what he feels, even when it’s not comfortable.

One day, in the park, everyone was hesitating.
One path to the left, another to the right.
We went round in circles, waiting for someone else to decide.

Biscotte, on the other hand, moved forward.
Not faster.
Not harder.
Just straight ahead.

Some followed.
Others stayed behind.

Biscotte didn’t look back.
He knew that everyone had to find their own rhythm, and that deciding for yourself never forces others to do the same.

It’s sometimes said to be abrupt.
A little too frank.
But those who know it know that it doesn’t break, because it doesn’t bend unnecessarily.

Biscotte reminds us that an imperfect decision is better than endless waiting. That clarity can be a form of gentleness. And that courage, sometimes, is simply accepting who you are.
