Odette is a glass-fused hen born in the simplicity of the barnyard, where she is expected to be useful, discreet and silent. For a long time, she did what was expected of her. She didn’t try to shine. She simply existed.

Then, as time went by, Odette realized one essential thing: no one was going to remind her of her worth in her place. So, without anger or fuss, she made a quiet, almost intimate gesture.

She covered a single wing with crystals, tiny diamond-like jewels. Not to dazzle the whole barnyard. Not to compare herself. But to remember, every day, that she mattered.

The murmurs were not long in coming. We found her a little proud. A little pretentious, perhaps. Odette never cared. Her pride was not a weapon. She took nothing away from anyone.

She now moves forward with a heavier, brighter wing. An apparent imbalance that has become her strength. A self-assumed elegance, born of a fresh look at herself.

Odette didn’t become precious thanks to the crystals. The crystals appeared the day she recognized herself as such.

A little proud, never mean. Simply aware of her worth. A real luxury hen!
