Lopez is a glass-fused toucan born far from the exotic warmth usually associated with his species. His story begins in an unexpected landscape: among penguins, in a world of ice, wind and white silence.

Adopted far from his homeland, Lopez grew up in a setting that didn’t suit him. His colors stood out. His beak astonished. And his mere presence raised questions.

At first, the penguins had mixed feelings. They thought he was sweet, yes. Curious too. But different. And difference, before enriching, sometimes disturbs.

Lopez took his time. He learned the rhythm of the cold, the patience of long winters, the language of silence. He never tried to become a penguin. He remained a toucan, with his colors, his openness and his very own way of inhabiting space.

Little by little, something changed. Because Lopez is a toucan who deserves to be known. He listens a lot. He judges little. He brings with him stories from elsewhere, without ever imposing his roots.

Today, Lopez is perfectly integrated. Not because he’s faded away, but because he’s found his place. He reminds us that immigration is not a loss of identity, but an encounter. A reciprocal adaptation. A shared richness.
