Created in a vibrant Art Deco style, Oscar seduces with the quiet strength of its look. Its vibrant colors, blending opaque glass, vivid accents and luminous textures, immediately catch the eye. But it’s in his expression that all the magic happens: a blend of confidence, innocence… and well-assumed feline cunning.
Oscar isn’t the type to ask twice. He ‘ll get what he wants, because to resist would be too cruel (and frankly, unnecessary). He reminds us of those cats who know exactly how to press the right emotional button, with a well-placed little “mew” or a paw on the knee.
Every detail of this work was hand-crafted in fused glass at the Percé-Verre workshop in Quebec. The artist, Stéphanie Béland, has played with textures, transparency and contrasts to create a lively, almost interactive look. Oscar seems to be talking to us. He seems to be asking us… for a little something more.
