Fernand is the kind of dog who always sees the bright side of things.
Is it raining? Great, a chance to jump in puddles!
His bowl is empty? Perfect, that means it’s about to be filled!
Nothing can dampen his good mood… not even Frankie, the cat with the worst temper.

A one-way friendship

When enthusiasm meets feline indifference

Frankie never liked Fernand. Too cheerful, too enthusiastic, too… alive.
But Fernand is convinced they’re the best of friends.

Gifts from the heart (and paws)

Every morning, he brings him a ball as a gift.
Every evening, he tries to cuddle him, despite the hostile yelps.
And every day, he gets pawed.
But far from being discouraged, Fernand takes it as a game:
“Wow! He’s touching me! We have a connection!”

Patience to the limit

(Very) positive interpretations

Fernand believes in friendship.
When Frankie blows in his face, he thinks it’s an attempt to talk.
When he gets kicked off the couch, he figures Frankie has a surprise for him later.

The long-awaited moment

And when, one evening, Frankie accidentally falls asleep on his paw, Fernand is ecstatic:
“At last! He loves me! I knew it!”

And maybe he has a point… After all, Frankie could have slept somewhere else.
